Rohnert Park Health Center

In August, the Rohnert Park Health Center opened its doors, only 17 months after construction began.  The facility was built to fulfill a need for more healthcare services in the community located 50 miles north of San Francisco, California.

The ground floor of the building was already occupied by Kaiser Permanente.  The second floor was renovated to house a large dental facility, behavioral health services, vision services, medical and gynecology services, wellness programs, and an on-site laboratory and pharmacy.  The facility is expected to have 100,000 patient visits annually.

Healthcare Design Magazine has a photo tour on the center, which you can see here.  A few of the photos are below.

The dual-staffed information desk at the primary entrance helps patients get to where they need to go quickly. The open-concept lobby, geometric angles, multiple skylights, and lots of glazing maximize daylighting and create a positive vibe. Photo: Majestic Captures

Radius millwork softens the edges of the reception desk to warm it up, and the three-form panels provide HIPAA compliant privacy. The energy-efficient LED lighting meets California’s Title 24 requirements, and customized down-task lighting was also installed. The solid surface of the transaction counter provides durability without skimping on aesthetics, and the lowered counter is ADA compliant. Photo: Majestic Captures
