Labor and Delivery Rooms – Designed for Perfection

Every expectant mother wants the birth of her baby to be a beautiful experience.  After all, it will be one of the most important and memorable days of her life.

Labor and Delivery rooms have come a long way in creating a peaceful and homelike setting to accommodate laboring mothers, their partners, and the arrival of the baby.

Choosing a soothing color palette, meaningful artwork, an elegant bathroom complete with a jaccuzi tub, and don’t forget a bed for Dad, are some of the main focuses of the designer.   But there is so much more to consider…

The room must accommodate the need for ample medical equipment to be on hand for a routine delivery as well as any emergency situation that might arise.  As the obstetrical doctors and nurses will tell you, they always expect the best possible outcome, however they set up the room to prepare for life saving measures for both the mother and the baby.

The room must also include pathways for the traffic of health care providers, and any family members who are invited to the birth.  And last but not least, clean up must be a breeze.
