Child Life Zone at Texas Children’s Hospital

The Child Life Zone at Texas Children’s Hospital was recently renovated with the help of Teammates for Kids Foundation, an organization that works with professional athletes to raise money for children’s charities.  The original space was 2,557 but has been expanded to 2,935 square feet and now serves patients ages 6-21.  The entire project only took 6 months to complete and was opened in June.

The enlarged open-concept space supports a media wall for gaming, arcade games, a full-size air hockey table, a stage with theater-style lighting for performances, and a large, drop-down screen and projector.  They updated and expanded the kitchen as well as creating the Kids Own Studio which includes a new music studio for writing and recording music.
