Healthcare Design Magazine recently ran an article on a new all-private facility in Sierra Vista, Arizona.  The new Canyon Vista Medical Center opened in April, 2015. It is four stories, has 100 beds and is housed in 177,000 square feet on 77 acres.  The interior and exterior were designed to flow with the local Arizona landscape both with the use of colors and materials.

The emergency department is designed with trauma rooms right off the ambulance entrance and exam room pods, four per bay. The main nurses’ station wraps around the center of the space with access to all pod areas. The finishes are designed to be durable, easy to clean, and to create a soothing environment for patients.
