Hospital designers take on new objectives when the hospital owner’s goal is to be the gateway to the community.

When designers and architects approach new projects with a holistic mentality, they know that the environment plays a considerable role in the healing process.  Environments filled with natural light, meaningful art and warm decor have proved to assist in the healing process. The environment also affects the healthcare providers, allowing a better place to give and receive health care.

The photos here, highlight a hospital that looks like a work of art.  Harlem Hospital Pavilion, was designed by global architects HOK.  It includes giant glass panels on it’s exterior to form transparent murals that represent Harlems history and iconic culture.
