You Only Get One Chance to Make a Good First Impression

The overall condition of a healthcare facility speaks volumes to not only those who live and work there, but also to visitors and potential patients. The old adage is: You only get one chance to make a good first impression.

When architects and designers are called in to redesign a tired looking facility, it is important that everyone responsible for how a new building looks takes a look through “first time eyes.”

The next step is to define the standards of excellence for the building’s presentation to the public — what the environment should look like and what to avoid, down to the details of making sure furniture is properly placed, newspapers are picked up, and lamp shades are straightened.
