Wikoff Feature: Shelter – Reno’s Newest Entertainment Venue

An old building in downtown Reno is getting new life, as a brand new bowling alley and sports bar, complete with music and dancing. Owner Jamy Keshmiri named the venue “Shelter” because when he first saw the empty basement in the old Woolworth’s building, it looked like a bomb shelter. Marie Wikoff of Wikoff Design Studio helped design the newest entertainment venue along with the construction by Alex Hose of Tico Construction. Jamy Keshmiri and the Shelter Team celebrated the grand opening last Wednesday, April 8th, 2015. It was attended well. Below is a follow-up with pictures and links to the Twitter conversation. Shelter, An Exciting New Concept for Reno

Jamy Keshmiri and his team hope you enjoyed our VIP Preview to downtown Reno’s newest entertainment venue, located right in the heart of the Biggest Little City. And if you missed it, be sure to stop by and see for yourself what all the fuss is about.

Shelter is open daily starting April 10 from 11 a.m. until late nights.

During the day, Shelter provides a perfect family entertainment venue with bowling and great food. Or perhaps that underground location for your next business lunch. Shelter is also available for groups.

After 10 p.m., Shelter entertains adults 21 and older with a DJ each Friday and Saturday night and a $10 cover. As you know, every detail of the 14,000-square-foot location is taken care of including integration of fiber optics throughout and six lanes of bowling fun.
