When Good People Do Good Things For Families in Need…

The Hogs House is what happens when good people do good things for families in need. The Hogs House is the new family center providing a safe refuge for the entire family while children undergo brain cancer treatment at Children’s Hospital New Orleans.

“By providing a place to stay for families who need it, when they need it, the Hogs House will be an extension of the healing environment,” said John R. Nickens, IV, president and CEO of Children’s Hospital.

Children’s Hospital New Orleans partnered with Hogs for the Cause, a local nonprofit barbecue/music festival that supports families with children undergoing brain cancer treatment, to open the Hogs for the Cause Family Center.

The house includes 13 family suites with private bathrooms, common areas with two family lounges, kitchen spaces, and a laundry room.
