The town of Ft. Collins, Colorado is getting a boost in its fight against cancer with the expansion of the University of Colorado Health Poudre Valley Outpatient Cancer Center.  The expansion is being done in 3 phases. The first phase renovated the existing radiation oncology suite.  The second phase included construction of a 32,150-square-foot, two-story addition and interior renovation highlighted by a new lobby and entrance and a new internal Main Street pedestrian corridor that links to the existing lobby and connects different oncology departments.  The third phase, which will be completed this summer, will add a nutritional center, physical rehabilitation and alternative medicine therapies spaces, and a flexible conference center.

A couple of the photos from the article in Healthcare Design Magazine on this renovated facility are below.  To take the photo tour and read the entire article click here.

The new main lobby provides a transitional area, from the existing center to the new facility. Patients entering through these doors can go to the 1st floor clinic, upstairs to the 2nd floor infusion area, or turn right toward the radiation oncology and rehabilitation departments in the existing wing.
