The following post is a breakdown of color and how it may contribute in the design of a therapeutic environment. Each color embodies a unique set of healing qualities.
Healing properties: Brings warmth, energy and stimulation, therefore good for energy, and treating fatigue. It is said, that Red energizes heart and blood circulation thus increasing one’s sense of smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch.
Healing properties: White is the perfect color; for it is all colors, in perfect balance and harmony. The sun is the largest source of white light and has the most complete set of healing qualities.
Healing properties: It has been said that Blue may cool fevers, reduce swelling and inflammation, lower high blood pressure and calm strong emotions like anger, aggression or hysteria. It is also thought to aid by reducing itch and irritation. The tranquile quality of the color blue has the power to sooth suffering.
Using Red, White, and Blue together can create an environment that stimulates positive energy, inspiration, focus, relaxation, and balance.
