Orlando Regional Medical Center’s New Tower Displays Florida’s Beauty

On January 12, 2015, Orlando Regional Medical Center opened a North Tower inspired by Florida’s natural beauty.  This 245-bed, 10-story, 345,000-square-foot facility utilizes the evidence-based design concept of nature helping to heal patients.  Some of the special features included in the patient rooms are in-room computers to enable caregivers to chart at patients’ bedside, safety “red lines” that are integrated into acute-care rooms to identify isolation boundaries, and concierge-style amenities.  To read the entire article in Healthcare Design Magazine and go on the photo tour, click here.
