Healthcare Design Magazine recently ran an article and photo tour on the new Center for Advanced Care at the Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. This new outpatient facility opened in April and is dedicated to ambulatory surgery, digestive health, and cancer care. More than 20,000 patients are expected to be treated in the building annually.
Large windows allow natural light inside throughout the facility. Wood grain and other natural materials were used in order to give a modern sensibility. Larger rooms were used to provide ample space for families to join patients undergoing treatment.
Below are a few pictures from the photo tour. To read the article and go on the photo tour in Healthcare Design Magazine, click here.

Public corridors are outfitted with open seating along the circulation spine, creating an easy-to-navigate wayfinding system. Touchdown points invite conversation and rest, where patients can communicate with their healthcare provider or caregiver. Photo: Liam Frederick Photography
