Making Spirits Bright 🎄 #keepingfamiliesclose
Family. Smiles. Peace. Joy. Those are the gifts to give this season. Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) across the nation are doing just that with the help and donations of the community. See some extraordinary examples below and remember there is a Ronald McDonald House near you :).
New Hope in Witchita
RMHC Wichita is building a new Ronald McDonald House. The goal is $3.4 million and they are more than 3/4’s of the way there. RMHC Wichita will be keeping families close for years to come.
Ronald McDonald House is an environment that promotes togetherness. A place for patients and their siblings to be kids, a place that offers respite from illness, a place for families to share their stories and find comfort in each other and, ultimately, a place that offers normalcy in an otherwise displaced life. The new Ronald McDonald House in Witchita will be no exception. The house will provide a private place for families to stay each night and the little things that are otherwise easily taken for granted – warm meals, a hot shower, and friendly faces to come home to after a long day.

Red Shoe Gala – Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern Nevada
It may seem like a fairy tale, that a pair of red shoes could do so much magic in one night. But on Friday, October 6th, individuals and businesses from Nevada came together to grant some very important wishes: to keep parents close to their children during their hospitalization.
The families who stay at the Reno Ronald McDonald House live more than 30 miles away from Reno and Sparks, making a long-term stay in the area a costly and logistical nightmare. The RMHC – Northern Nevada organization works to eliminate the cost of lodging and meals during such long-term stays so families can focus on giving their children the energy they need to recover.
