Cardiovascular care in McKinney, Texas will be more accessible next year when the one-story Heart Hospital Baylor Plano opens this time next year. The expansion is better explained as a “hospital in a hospital”. The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano in McKinney will operate with a separate license from its host, Baylor McKinney, but with the opportunity for both hospitals to share contracted services, facilities, and systems for more efficient and cost-effective healthcare service delivery. This means good news for the residents of McKinney Texas and hopefully projects similar will begin to expand all over the U.S.

About the Project

The Heart Hospital Baylor McKinney broke ground in January 2018. It will include 26,932 square feet of new construction and 7,942 square feet of renovated space for inpatient beds, a surgical unit, procedure rooms, and additional cardiovascular care services.Cardiovascular care is on its way to the top with new technology and design to create professionalism and top of the line health care.

Designed by E4H Environments for Health Architecture (Arlington, Texas) and constructed by Medco Construction (Dallas), the new heart hospital will welcome patients and guests with a large lobby space featuring high ceilings and tall windows. The one-story expansion adds four inpatient beds and 10 post-anesthesia care units. In addition, the new hospital will be equipped with four spacious procedure rooms for electrophysiology and catheterization, eight holding rooms, shell space, and the relocation of the existing interventional radiology (IR) room to the host hospital.
